Dan , I have used several Shilens and several Pac-nors and from my personaly experiance as far as accuracy I coulden't tell between the two , the Pac-nor fouled less and gave higher velocity.
As for the 1-12 twist , I shoot 180gr Ballistic tips , 175gr Berger VLD ,
155-175gr Sierra matchkings and they all shoot very well all the way out to 800 which is the farthest I've shot them
