2A being ignored in NM

Like that lady cop who accidently shot and killed a guy who was wanted on a gun charge. It was so very obviously an accident but they still locked her up.

I think that every cop in the state should've walked off the job when they did that.

She risked her life for that community every single day for 20 plus years, and she makes one fatal mistake on a guy who was running from a gun charge and they lock her up????

Sure makes recruiting new cops a lot harder, I would think.
So the elites have personal security but they don't want us to be able to defend ourselves and at the same time making our only security (the police) hesitant to use any force for the fear of prosecution.

There are several court precedents that absolve the police from an individual's protection. They are only responsible for the general safety of the public. So if they don't respond to an individual's call for help there is nothing anyone can do. And after all the covid riots that lasted a year of more I think the safety of the general public has become much looser.

According to the far left cult, the 1st and 2nd amendments are not absolute. Only the ones they choose or their high priest George Soros. Amazing how our founding fathers and framers knew the challenges we would face thus giving us the tools we need to keep our rights. It's not a coincidence that the cities with the most gun violence have the strictest gun laws. Molon Labe

I think it's more of a "Look at me, everyone, I'm doing something" than a legitimate attempt at curbing the gun violence.
From what I read, most law enforcement officials are not on board with it.
Their recent spat of gun violence has mostly been underaged gang bangers. Seems like maybe THAT'S where she should start? Maybe lock them up for a serious amount of time? I get it, they are kids, but if they want to do adult crimes they need to do adult time.
I thought Walter White, the Salamancas and Gus was dead

If anyone has any doubt of that google "Are the police responsible for your protection?"
I have little faith in google search directing me to honest answers nowadays.
I am not denying what you say is true xsn10s only stating that they will usually show you what they want you to see and hide what they don't want you to know.

I've seen these precedents in action. The LA Riots and the lawsuits that ensued afterwards proves my point.

But I learned much of this while I was in college thirty some years ago. And I got the material mostly from the 2nd Amendment Foundation.

Ain't it so

"In a 4–3 decision, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals affirmed the trial courts' dismissal of the complaints against the District of Columbia and individual members of the Metropolitan Police Department based on the public duty doctrine ruling that "the duty to provide public services is owed to the public at large, and, absent a special relationship between the police and an individual, no specific legal duty exists". The Court thus adopted the trial court's determination that no special relationship existed between the police and appellants, and therefore no specific legal duty existed between the police and the appellants." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia
