Out of all the bullets I have tried, I have had no success getting Scirocco II's to group well. Tried them in two rifles. I will try a third rifle before I hate them completely, but at this point, I will never use them for hunting.

Have you tried any 150 grain of other bullets in your 270 WSM?

The most accurate 270 wsm I've had was a tikka shooting 129 Lrx with RL17 at 3430 FPS

The trick in getting them to shoot...start them .050 off lands.

Move further back as necessary.....

I've read guys getting awesome groups with them .100 back or more

I've had good success at .050

I've loaded 73g of Magpro behind the 130g Barnes TTSX.
But I'm currently going to play with RL 16, 23 and 26 with a different bullet and she how she flies!

RL 17 should work great with the 140 vld.
I'd say start at 57 and go up from there.
62 gr would be getting close to the top end from my experience with RL17 but I have loaded a little higher than 62 gr in one rifle I had.
I've usually been 3200 FPS with 140 gr bullets in the 270 wsm in 24" bbls

Yeah forgot to mentioned that 24 inch barrel. Only bad thing is can not really chase the lands as rifle is box magazine and does not allow me extra long extended loads
