.270 TH😂 Ladders

When I get my barrel back, 277 1-9" twist 30" finished length in 270 Bee, I really want to give those 165 ABLR pills a good run. Had excellent results with the 150 ABLR in it prior to sending it off to be cryo'd, now due to more COVID idiots that can't stay home, I have no idea when it will be back.
I lopped 2" from this barrel and re-crowned just prior to sending it off.
I'd like to see some numbers on the 165's if you can have time to test those.

I have a 270 WSM with 7 1/2 twist and shoot 165 grain Nosler ABLR. I use the maximum powder charge of H4831SC Nosler suggest in their tables for the the 270 WSM. It is better than 1/4 MOA at about 3000 FPS. I don't know why, but can't get accuracy better than 1 MOA for the 150 ABLR. Very disappointed. If anyone has suggestions for powder and loads for the 150 ABLR, let me know. Thank.

26" Length, 3/4 diameter, added a muzzle brake. $350
Shoot the 1000 yard range at Lodi. The velocity at target for the 165 ABLR is 1550 fps. On a bench, had 5 shots in a 7" group. A perfect still day with lots of luck.
I am very pleased with 7 1/2 twist, can't wait to take it on a hunt. Have 200 rounds through the barrel, shooting 350 to 600 yards, and 1000 yards.

You will not regret rebarreling to a faster twist. You can shoot all of the 270 ammo, and still these accurate high BC bullets.

So I was able to get back to range and did ladders for 150ABLR, 150AB and 160 Partition. I fell short on the ladders which is what I prefer to minimize bullet pulling. So here you go. I am a little curious to see how far the ladder will go so I will add a few more loads. But a 150 at 3137 is not shabby.

These loads were safe in my rifle. Use standard SAFE reloading practices to determine what is safe in your firearm. Work your loads up safely.

Both the 150's look promising just on ladder loads pretty much in same spot. Partition will be Partition but I think it is going to surprise me. I believe the 1:8 twist just seems to stabilize the 150+ so nicely. It is just a fun rifle to shoot!

I just saw this thread on TH270 this week, and now I am interested. Will be watching progression of this round. The ladder test sheet looks pretty comprehensive. I can't think of anything that I would add.

All brass is prepped same way so left that out. I had it on there in beginning but made it too busy I thought. But maybe just have a brass prepped description at top might be nice to see. Thx!

Sheets look good to me. Keep up the good work. I wondered how the faster twist would affect the "normal" bullets as in too much spin or if it would just settle them in even better. Maybe different bullets will act differently as well.
