270-300 Win Mag now feasible

Merry Christmas,

Will you rebarrel with a 1-8 or a 1-9 twist? Will you keep it 28"?

I am still working up velocity in my 1-9, 28", 270 Benchmark Wby with the 170 Berger. Stabilizes fine in my barrel.

Retumbo is working fine for the Berger 170…I will also use H1000 and IMR 7977 for future loads…and also with the Matrix 165s…

So far…1-9 is working for me...

I just flipped on the 6.5-300 Weatherby ad on this link. It is nice to be faster than the hottest 6.5 around with the same bullet weight.

Their ad states 3390 for the 140, we are 3465!! And much cooler and better looking.

Feenix- the 270AI is going to Mexico to chase Sonoran Mule Deer. Thankfully it is bringing me with it.

Next year this 270-300 Beast will be ready for the field! Hopefully Wyoming elk and Colorado elk/ Deer!

What kind of velocity are you getting from those 130 MTHs and do you think they'll work in a 10 twist.

I'm pereping a vintage 270 Win for max performance and for some weird reason don't want to shoot any heavier than 130 grain offerings.

I'm messing with CEBs in 375 cal but no experience in the 270 arena.

I have a 24" 1-10 barrel that I am working up for a 130gr bullet…are we talking about a standard 270Win cartridge ?
