OAL is 3.400" varying by bullet tip, that is .020" off lands. Properly throated, it would be around 3.600" roughly, I made up a dummy round at one time but don't remember what it measured, but it would be a lot longer. You can see, the bullet is way in there. That's impressive Cody! What is your C.O.L? And what would it be if it was throated how youd like it?
Lots of good info here. Cant wait to burn the barrel out of this wby Vgd so I can start fresh.
I am getting just over 3200 fps with 140 Speer gold dot in a wilson 8 twist from Ragged Hole. 76.5 Gr H 50BMG and throated long. COAL is 3.460"A question for you 264 win mag shooters, what velocities are you getting with 26" barrels and with what 120-156 bullets?
I'm considering rebarreling to that cartridge after this one is done.

Keep in mind, my data is all with HBN coating, so I will likely have a slightly higher charge with the same components than a naked bullet. I haven't noticed a huge velocity gain, 20-40 fps maybe.Yeah it is! That thing is sleek! That's good info man thanks.
