Mind sharing your load info for the RPM? ThanksI have had great success with LRT in my 257 Roy and my 6.5 RPM. Great velocity, little pressure and good sd's. It's temp
stable which is extremely important out here in West Texas.

The 86gr H2O is an empty case or usable like QL gives? For Ramshot LRT, QL shows the following for my 264WM, a 147 ELD-M, my particular brass (86 gr H2O) and COAL (3.34") so YMMV.
Fill. Charge % Grains 95 71 96 71.5 96 72 97 72.5 98 73 98 73.5 99 74 100 74.5 100 75 101 75.5 102 76 102 76.5 103 77 104 77.5 104 78 105 78.5
My RPM is on a rem 700 with a Hart 1/8 5R 26" barrel. We found a really good node with 73.6 gr of LRT 3.595" COL and 3120fps with Berger 156 EOL. I think the Weatherby ones are 1/9.Mind sharing your load info for the RPM? Thanks
Thanks for the info; that helps. I have some 156s and my Wby now wears a Proof 1/8 stainless, so I'll drop down a bit and give them a try. Because it was available, I picked up two pounds of the LRT and only then learned there isn't a lot of loading data for that powder for the RPM. Empty. Usable says 76.2 grains. This is relatively light weight R-P brass from some bygone era, so I think it's on the voluminous side. The 86gr H2O is an empty case or usable like QL gives?
I called Berger and asked them for some data and they provided a great starting point. Thanks for the info; that helps. Hi guys. I've been reading and enjoying the forum for a few years now but this is my first post. I have the exact same barrel on my 7mm RM and it's definitely a shooter. I have 8lbs of LRT on the way and am looking forward to working with it. If pressures are as linear as the velocity increases it should be a great choice. It certainly doesn't seem spikey by your chart plot.Got my hands on a pound of Ramshot LRT finally, and 9lbs of Unicorn Tears (Retumbo), so went out today to get a rough idea of charge weights for my 264 Win Mag and 7 Rem Mag. Figured the LRT data might be helpful for others, as I didn't find much in the online reloading manuals. No accuracy info, as I was only shooting one shot per load to get a velocity graph.
Temp was ~44° F, data collected on a LabRadar.
264 Win Mag. 24", 1:8, 5R, X-Caliber (Savage). 2X Fired R-P brass (Weight ~230 gr, Volume ~86 gr H2O). COAL = 3.340", ~0.02" off lands.

Some comments...
I saw no signs of pressure up to the max tested, so there's a bit more room to go, though I doubt I'll push it any further. I'm very happy with velocities for both powders, and want to leave a little room for temperature increases during the summer.
I pressured out in both cartridges at lower velocities with both H1000 and RL26.
Though Quickload and most reloading manuals indicate I would be well over 100% case fill with LRT, that doesn't seem to be the case. The max loads above still had some "rattle", though they were definitely right up near the neck/shoulder junction.
Hope this helps someone else thinking about trying LRT in a 264 or 7 mag.
Mike,I recently picked up a # of LRt as well with intention of trying it in my 264 WM Improved with 156 EOLs.
Thanks for your results. It looks promising.
Thanks Ed. Remember mine is an improved case with a long throat. I want to say I'm over 80 grains of LRT and have hit 3400fps.
Yep, I remember, that's why I said baseline. Berger does not have .338 NMI load for their 250s/300s but I am using their .338 NM recommendations. Mine has aggressive improvements over NMI SAAMI just like your .264 WMI.Thanks Ed. Remember mine is an improved case with a long throat.
