.260 rem vs. 6.5 creedmor vs. 6.5-284 norma

Grizzly is claiming 3,000 FPS with their 130gr Scirocco load in .260; Federal claims 3,000fps with their 120gr Fusion in .260.

I've shot the latter and I can buy it but I have yet to verify it as I don't have a Chrony.

Looking for load data I can't find loads that say they can replicate them though.

I anticipation of getting my 260, been searching, but I haven't been able to find anything either approaching 3000 with a 140. Would be nice!!

That makes perfect sense.

I still want your recipie.:D

Looking back at my log book, I was right with my initial velocities....

130grain JLK
45.4grains H4350
Fiocchi Large Rifle Primer
Lapua Brass
3005fps
(mag length)

130grain JLK
45grains H4350
CCI BR2
Lapua Brass
3012fps
(mag length)

140grain VLD
44grain RL17
F210 (not match)
Norma Brass
3019fps
This load is seated with the bullet pretty far out at .005 off the lands. Measured with a Hornady comparator, loaded round measures 3.259. At mag-length, I am unsure if these results could be duplicated.

Because RL17 is not very temp stable, I will be attempting to duplicate these results with H4350. I think it can be done.

Thanks. I'll be looking to see your results.

That new AR Comp by Alliant interests me as well.

I do not find any AR comp data for the .260?
I don't either. Hopefully by the time I get a few hundred rounds of once fired brass though, they'll have some published or someone there can give me some guidelines to work with.

Considering it was specifically developed for the .308 it should work well with the .260 and 7mm-08.
