I might know a guy that has the reamer. Just saying. ShepToday I begin pondering a 25 WSM build. Just beginning to consider the .257 options for a 10-twist barrel that needs mounted.

Thanks much Shep, but I ordered and now own a reamer. And my barrel has been chambered 25WSM, and fitted. I've joined the 1/4 bore world of shooters.I might know a guy that has the reamer. Just saying. Shep
For over 10 years the 25X.284 win. was my go to Coues, and Mule Deer rifle. FYI Gun Smith cut metal out to acomadate much longer mgazine box. ( short action )Since the 6.5x284 is so successful, I'm surprised that I don't hear as much buzz about the merits of the 25x284. Maybe there's some reason I'm not aware of.
I just built a 25 -284 -8 twist Douglas xx grade air gaged stainless 25 in I love it loading 90 gr Hammer absolutes with a maxl load of rl 19 with a three shot avg vel of 3860 fps using 62 grs back off too 61.2 that still puts me a tad over 3800 fps will be testing it on a cull buck Thanksgiving I think it will be a real good white tail load for 400 yds I did not have too buy any dies just use a .283 bushing in my 6.5 -284 redding dies and my competition 284 win seating die .ooo run out works better than I expected the 25 - 284 is defiantly a over looked wildcat cartridge that performs way above it's pay gradeFor over 10 years the 25X.284 win. was my go to Coues, and Mule Deer rifle.
