Hmmmm. Not my experience at all.
I have 2: 25 wssm's so I can't speak for the 22 or 243 wssm.
Both of mine demand max loads or they will soot up the necks of the brass something awful.
Both the Winchester and Browning are accurate with many loads but only loads near max will seal up the
thick neck brass to the chamber.
How does your brass look with these light loads?
My brass is just fine; with a bit of soot on the upper neck but none further down. I may have a somewhat tight barrel as my vel.s seem to be a bit high usually when compared to load data charge weights. My 120 speer load is at 2900 fps with a start charge of h4350; it should be around 2800. Same for the two 100 grain buillet loads with standard powders I have. You push them and they crap out.
With Superformance I can run to the wall and get fair accuracy though, so maybe more an odd barrel??
