I'm surmising that they would be to long for my 257 Ackley barrel. But the Niosler 115 is under .30 @ 100 for me.

25/284 with any kind of vld is a long action build. Lee31's pictures makes this point all too plain to see. I had trouble with 115g Nosler Ballistic tips and OAL in a Remington 700 std mag length with the 25/284, and this was a very costly lesson to learn. Nosler Long range accubonds like to jump .120 or a tad more in 7mm, all other VLD's I have shot are picky on OAL they demand for accuracy.

There is around 6 oz of weight difference between a Rem long action and short action...no big deal. I just hope that you do not make the mistake that I made putting the 25/284 cartridge on a short action and want to shoot VLD bullets. My 25/284 was a rock chuck rifle and of course I needed to be able to chase the lands as the leade grew. Just imagine how ****ed I was when I could not touch the lands with the bullet seated at max magazine OAL in a brand new rifle! So, two barrels were shot out as single shots. The barrel would not shoot well at all jumping bullets, but when I seated the 115's up against the lands, I got bug holes.

Yes definitely wanna use a long action for any 284 cased cartridge

If you try some of the prediction software, you need 10,000 ft. approximately to get this bullet stable with the 1:9" twist at 3,100 fps out of your .25-06 Rem.

Really interested in a high BC 25 cal bullet. For years, I shot everything with a 25-06. Would love to revive it. I really like the idea of a 25x47, Lapua brass, short enough case to fit long bullets.

I was told Bullets are around a month out. Still waiting for the few I was told I was going to get to make dummy rounds. But the guy I've been in contact with is on vacation.

Just got this earlier today

Yes we have produced them and they will be ready for public sale around July 4th.

The G7 Average BC at 1000 yds is 0.330 at 2930 fps & 0.333 at 3140 fps.

They shoot very well and we can't wait to get them out to market. We will be doing load development and testing in some other cartridges in the next 10 days so I will definitely get all that info together and make a post here on AS.

I don't use FecesBook, but If they want to send me a box so I can make up some dummy rounds and then get a new .25-06 AI reamer cut for when I can afford a new barrel blank and smiting fees, I wouldn't be opposed... I'd be more than happy to do some testing and load data at my elevation for them and report my findings.
