Win Brass
WLR Primer
3.775 OAL w/ SP Gage

58.5 gr Reloader 25
Win Brass
WLR Primer
3.785 OAL w/ SP Gage

I found that RL-22 worked the best from mine using the 110 - 117gr bullets. I got the best velocity and groups with it over several other powders tried.

The lightest I ever went was 100gr bullets and found that I was hard pressed to beat out IMR - 4831 with them, except when using Sierra 100gr Spitzers. I just could not get them to group under 3" with anything till I called Sierra and they recommended IMR-4350. It worked like magic and dropped the groups into clover leafs at 200yds.

The latest load my daughter is shooting from that particular rifle is using 56.5grs of RL-22 under the 110gr AB. It is running right at 3200fps and shooting consistant .5" groups at 200yds. in good conditions.

I was very fortunate with that rifle in that it has shot so darn tight that it is scary for a factory rifle. I guess that the barrel gods were looking down on me when I picked it out.

I've got an A-bolt in 25/06. My favorite load for varmints is
hornady 87 grn spire point on top of 54 grains of IMR 4350. All the holes touch at 100yrds. Dave

One of the best powders I've found for heavier pills in the 25-06 is IMR 7828. My current load is the 120 Sierra GK BTSP, 55 grns 7828, R+P case, WLR Primers. This load is producing a very consistent 3144 fps average at 12' from the muzzle in a 24" tube. Accuracy has been sub moa at 200(haven't had a chance to shoot this rifle past 200 yet). R22 is a fine powder in the 25-06 as well, just doesn't give me the velocity of 7828.

Good Luck,

Reloader

While its not the fastest, 100 grain Ballistic Tips seated about 0.010 off the lands with 45 grains of Varget in Rem Brass with CCI Primers is 1/2 MOA accurate out of my 700 Classic. Roughly 3150 FPS.

All loads here look great except for the Retumbo. Retumbo is a dirty powder that can escalate pressure to a sticky bolt situation quickly. Experienced it heavily in the guns listed in my signature. Have fun, but toss out the Retumbo idea.

48.5gr IMR 4350 in win cases, 210 primer with a 117 hornady. Shoot
very well in a couple of different rifles.. Luck on your 25-06..

Barnes 100 gr TSX
53 gr H4350
Win case
Fed 210m primer

3340 fps mv

Have used this load to take two mulies in the past three years. Both were DRT. Complete penetration. Both were shorter range shots, one at about 30 yards, the other at about 125 yards.

Please use care working up to this load. It's fine in my rifle, but perhaps not in yours. I built to it, using the guidelines published by Barnes when the TSX was first introduced.

Regards, Guy
