22 Nosler Loads?

i just got my 22 Nosler build back today. I haven't given the load much thought until not. The rifle has a 22" 7 twist barrel. It's in an MDT LSS chassis. The purpose of the rifle is varmint rifle/kids turkey, varmint, paper rifle. I'm leaning toward something in the 60's as far as weight goes. Does anyone have any load date for the 22 Nosler with bullets in that weight range?

Mike I am in the process of finishing up a 22 Nosler in an AR platform, hopefully have it finished in the next few weeks and start working on loads. 20" 8 twist barrel.

I'm planning on starting with H322, Sierra Tipped MatchKing 60grn bullets and CCI 450 Mag Small Primers.

How did your load development go?

Any luck on loads for your guys 22 Nosler? I have a 22inch barrel in an ar15 rifle with the 22 nosler. I am looking at loads for the 55-62 grain stuff. The rifle will primary be a varmint rifle. What type of accuracy were you guys getting?

I get great accuracy with almost everything. Although mine is a bolt gun.

I had a nosler 48 liberty rifle in 22 nosler and I was using a cci 450 primer CFE223 and a 77 grain tipped match king.

Nice, Ya I have done some hand loading and my top loads of 30.1-30.4gr of IMR4895 with a 55gr tipped boat tail was .6-.275 in at 100yd. will be doing some more testing so that was good!

Varget with a 68gr Hornady. 8T Odin Works barrel in an AR. Not the fastest, but it sure wads them up.

Thats pretty dang good! I tried the varget on the 55gr bullets and it did not do well at all. I may try to do a heavier load but I have a 6mm creedmoor build in the works now so Ill stick with lighter varmint loads.

That barrel shoots 77gr factory loads into 1/2". No load I've ever tested was more than about 3/4" Barrel is bedded in a squared Odin billet receiver. They make good stuff.

Can't say I've ever seen this out of any rifle I have shot...have seen it with
non-fletched arrows....keyholing...keyhole....
Every round from the Nosler box
of 85gr RDF @ 2700fps....very obvious that they wont shoot thruthis barrel...not sure the twist....will need to check it...
But...at least I have 20 pieces of brass to reload...if I decide to buy dies and play....

I guess it wasn't a total loss....as the bullets that did hit 'around the target' were 'pointing towards the POA'..

Thats pretty decent ahha. Ya mine is just a APF that I bought used, APF seems to have good customer service and makes a decent rifle. I did put a timney 2-stage trigger in it and that helped a ton. It did not like the nosler trophy grade 70 gr. But Im getting about 3300-3340 on the 55gr at the .5-.3 in area so that should be good enough for varmints.

Folks @ Odin turned me on the the Hornadys. They said their 8T barrels would really shoot them well if you took the time to test a couple of powders. I took one afternoon LOL. They weren't lying. AR's may not be benchrest rifles, but they will shoot as well as most hunting rifles if set up right. I enjoy building and playing with them. Square the front of the receiver and bed the barrel with loctite and they will amaze you with a good barrel. I love ARP barrels too. Built a couple on their 6.8 barrels. They shoot like this too. Not necessary with NV on hogs, but fun and instill a sense of accomplishment. Anyone can build one of these. Barbies for men they say.....
