22 Creedmoor?

I'm shooting 85.5 Bergers in srp Peterson 22 creedmoor brass at 3450 using data obtained by just emailing Berger. Berger is very quick to reply with data usually in the same day. Long story short I couldn't fit enough H4350 or N555 in the case to ever see pressure signs but still work up loads as your rifle is different than mine. Both powders worked amazingly well with sds in the 5to7 range and 1 ragged hole at the 100yd board. I've changed all my creedmoors to small rifle primers (I have a 6.5, 25, 6mm, and 22, ) mainly because thats the only primers I can readily find at the moment and want to save my precious large rifle for my many other cartridges that I load for. In result my standard deviations have cut in half, velocities went up, and groups have shrunk. The srp seems to handle pressure better than the large and I haven't seen any problems with shooting in the cold here in Idaho to as of yet.

80 grains bullets are 80 grain bullets. Pushed at higher speeds kill very effectively. I know hunters using the 243 with this weight class bullet shooting deer. When people see a .22 killing deer, they freak out but the 243 is suddenly magical even in same weight bullet. Base your opinion on the results. Go hunt with it and post your results. I guarantee the results will be impressive.

I know i,ll get great results! I was amazed how 80 grain in 243 performed. Lot of organ damage! I,ve seen it!

Since load data is difficult to locate, I was wondering if I could use 22-250 load data? Being cautious, of course! Could I use brass having SRP & obtain good results?

Sierra has 22/250 AI data, that's where I'd look...

I have a AI and have been using the standard 22/250 on big game for 40+ years using standard 55's-63's. Lights out (Non CNS) kills are the norm! The heavier bullets will work as well, but in no way are they needed taking big game.

Wow! Thanks so much for your feedback! Lot of people would criticize us for using a 224 for Deer. I ve killed 2 bucks with 80grain in 243. My barrel is 25".

I've yet to ever met someone who's actually used them a bit to a lot that would criticize the use of the various 22 CF's. Lots of critics from those who haven't...shocker eh!

This last fall I filled my elk tag via my 22/250 and a 63 Sierra in behind the front left. It exited the front right...! Elk was right @ 300 yards, I'd say it did it's job.

Is that 63gr. Sierra a match,or soft point?

Here is more info from a good buddy that kills deer a lot with his .223. He shoots the 60 grain Nosler Partition. Anchors deer everytime with one shot out to 400 yards. Pretty amazing for a .223. Never did the velocity check on that but shows the bullet performance on deer.
