22 creed 73gr Absolute hammers!

Don't get me wrong, I like what Steve is doing with his bullets.
5-10 round load development I don't buy. Unless you are not shooting past a couple hundred yards. I can't run a pressure ladder, find a accurate and consistent (muzzle velocity) load and test at range to validate in usually less than 30-50 rounds. Maybe you can?
What I don't like is the PRICE! I like to shoot! At 2-3 times the price of regular bullets it's hard to justify extra practice.
Buy it or not 5-10 rounds is the norm and is common practice, I was leery of the price myself but I got over it with the first box of bullets

The group i posted at top of this thread at 410 yds was the 4,5,6th shots with a hammer, i shot one 3 shot group at 100! Most of the time i can have a load worked with in 20 rds with a hammer! This barrel was a pull off a guy couldn't get to shoot 75 elds he had 100 rds on it. Ha ha

I've been using the 22/250 and the Swift for 43 years on deer, antelope, black bear and elk. Prior to this last year I've just used standard 14 twist barrels and 55-63 grain bullets.

I've mainly used standard cup n core bullets, found them to kill quicker than the preme bullets. We've a string of 30 one shot kills from 35 yards to 400 yards using the 60 Horn HP. Only two of them went anywhere the others went straight down! The two that went anywhere were a small whitey doe at 120 yards that took a 35 or so yard sprint and a muley buck at 35 yards that took a big hop and fell off a mountain.

This last year I had a 22/250 AI with 8 twist put together just so I can shoot the heavier bullets a bit.

The 22 CM is a wonderful round and incredibly capable as well as the other large 22's. The rigs are giant killers for sure!
Fast 22's have worked fine for my freezer for 30 years!!!!!

The amount of buzz over these bullets makes me want to try them in a variety of calibers and cartridges. I've seen what a 220 swift and 60 grain partitions do, that's a legal combo here in Arizona and more lethal than many would think I suspect. I'd love to try these.

agree. I see they now ship to Canada. And they offer trial packs of 15. I'm assuming it's more the powder selection and seating length that the OP is getting the velocity.
thoughts??

Practice with a second bullet and save the hammers for hunting.
