22-284 Winchester: Life At 40X

I've been taking Lapua 22-250 brass and loading it, as is, and firing it in the 22 Creed. R26 fills the case at 43 grains, I think, and the 22 Creed will take over 48 grains.

I've never owned a 22-250 but the Creed will shoot an 82 grain bullet at 3500 fps. I'm not aware that a 22-250AI will fire that big of a bullet that fast.

What length barrel are you running to get those speeds?

morning, a acquaintance took the 6.5 rem. mag. and necked down

to 6mm. shooting 105gr bullet. the case holds 60grs. of powder, 215primer,

rem. brass. this is a screamer. very accurate. 6mm-6.5 rem. mag. THK. U lightbulb:)gun)

In my experience with the 22X250AI would max out around 3300Fps,with an 82 grain.

You may be able to get it to 3500Fps with the 22X250AI as long as you leave your floor plate open and single feed, otherwise your magazine box will get jammed with all the spent primers that will be falling out........:D

I'm tagging onto this thread because I own a 22-243 AI that shoots 80 amaxes at 3558 fps... and 90 bergers at 3400 fps. They both will shoot a tad faster, but these speeds work best right now. I use Retumbo for both... with a powder crunch seating depth.

I love HOT 22's... don't know what I should do for another Hot 22... this caliber may be my max... why try to fix a good thing I guess.
