My biggest dear was killed at 275 with a 53gr, it is all about shot placementKilled a ton of deer in the old days with 22-250 using 53 gr Sierra BTHP.....never over 300+/- yds
********I've killed plenty with my 22-250 large 300+# white tail, Mulies & Elk always use 53 gr BTHP AT 4300fps accurate to 1000 yes in my savage 110 26" heavy barrel. One shot is all it takes

There isn't a 22-250 in the world that will shoot 4300 fps with a 53 gr bullet your dreamingI've killed plenty with my 22-250 large 300+# white tail, Mulies & Elk always use 53 gr BTHP AT 4300fps accurate to 1000 yes in my savage 110 26" heavy barrel. One shot is all it takes
Sounds good but personally I'd go with the 1-7P-Dogs??
That's a fact 243 is the best or 250622-250 great little varmint cartridge. For deer yes it will kill a deer but if the shot is off. You may never recover the deer. If your looking for a gun for young shooters I would recommend a .243 as the smallest caliber for deer
