22-250 AI 1st Shots Fired

Love the high-speed footage.

Another curiosity….. why shoot HH (or any mono) in the Ultimate Coyote Rifle (unless required by law)?

I've shot truckloads (literally) of coyotes with big .22 Centerfires, including a few dozen with a .22-250AI. Coyotes aren't big, they aren't thick, and they don't offer much expansion medium for bullets.

Yeah, the high speed video camera is pretty sweet!
The HHT's did expand very well in the gel block in the 1st 4". Our Ohio coyotes can get over #50 in weight. My record is a #57 male just North of Columbus.

I just shot a smaller female last week, about #20 with the 68gr HHT. Texas heart shot at 200 yards. Wasn't pretty!! Lol.

60G Berger puts a big hole in coyotes at 3700 fps in my 22/250 AI.

I would love to see some holes put in coyotes with the Hammers, with and without fur.

Zoiks!!! yeah, 60gr at 3,700fps ain't gonna rub out!

I did shoot a small female last week, Texas heart shots at 200 yards = it was very messy!! LOL

Out here in the West, I've only personally seen two coyotes that actually weighed over 50lbs… both of them were big old red colored males.

For a couple years I carried a little luggage scale in my pack, and never weighed one over 42lbs… in fact most of them were in 25-35 pound range.

Our Ohio coyotes have wolf genes = coy wolf's.

I hunt in 3 counties that have the documented wolf genetics in our coyotes.
