.204 vs. .223

I like the 204 an awfull lot, but it does have it's limitations. I think somewhere between 400 and 500 a fast twist 223 becomes a better choice.

If most of your shooting will be out to 400 or maybe 500 then I would go for the 204. If most will be beyond 400 or 500 then go for a fast twist 223.

I don't shoot that kind of volume with my .204, so I'm happy with it, but in reality I'd be just about as happy with a .223 Rem as I am with this .204 Ruger. Guess I just wanted to try something a little different. I did, and I like it, but if no one had invented it, that would have been fine too.
