.204 ruger?

Well, I want to get a longrange varminter in .204 in the T3 Varmint model. Im just wondering what distance the .204ruger is effective too?

I want to shoot rabbits/fox/cats at a nice long distance.

If not the .204ruger, what other calliber should I be considering?

A buddy of mine has one in an AR and loves it. Out to about 400 or so yards it is awesome but hits with my .223 are easier at 600yards. The wind wreaks havoc on those tiny bullets at that range, a minor miscalculation and you won't hit crap!
