.220 swift has been my coyote load. With 55 g vmax and 52 sierra match kings. At 3700-3900 fps I have yet to get an exit. They look like they swallowed a hand grenade when you open them up. Aside from leg hits or rear quarter hits I have not had to shoot one twice. I don't sell pelts, but I do have them tanned for later use. Shoulder hits sometimes explode leaving a 3-4" of bad pelt but still kill the dog. My furthest kill was just over 400 yards with the swift.
