My wife got a hammer on the 3rd of this month. Just got back to the homestead today. Biggest buck I've ever seen or touched lol. He has a broken G2 or would have been at least 180".

Home for a couple days from the wife's hunt then we headed to Texas to try to find an axis. Rough time of year to find a good one that was hard horned. Hunted for 3 days to find this guy crossing the corner of a recently planted field. These things are hard to hunt in the brush and given they had just gotten 5" of rain in two days hunting water wasn't really a great option either. Just got lucky I guess.

Congratulations! Heck of a bull. I knew west Texas mule deer but haven't heard about elk. Was it on a ranch or special draw ?
