Hello,
just out of curiosity, can I ask why you are using the two different HH bullets when both 30 cal rifles are the same twist rate?
I thought the 181 like a slightly faster twist.

I was using 181 for both until a good friend in Michigan told me about 180's . I see no difference. The 181 weighed from 179.8 to 182.2. I separated. The 180's weighed from 178.9 to 181.2. no big deal to me. Same twist. Not a difference to matter . 181 and 180 both are fine for 1 in 10 twist .

I understood it differently, that the 181 might not stabilize in a 1/10 twist which is why Hammer came out with the 180.
It's not only the weight, but the CG and weight distribution.
I was just curious how they worked for you, I tried the 180 but did not have a lot of luck with them. I had the rifle looked at by my gunsmith and he found problems with the gun. It is shooting better now that he corrected as much as he could so I am anxious to give the Hammers another try.

I haven't see much difference between the two in Win Mag and Rum. Both 1 in 10. I'm going to go with 180 tho. 👍🏻

Weight sorting the Hammers is an interesting thing. There's usually some machining oil in the hollow points, and that bit of oil can shift the weights. I sorted 100, then noticed the oil.

After I used compressed air and a paperclip to clear the oil the weights got a lot tighter.

166.54 to 166.41 = 5 ea
166.40 to 166.20 = 55 ea
166.19 to 165.98 = 40 ea

We leave the oil in the bullet, we have found no loss of accuracy doing so
