18” carbon barrel 243 ai

I don't mind a longer barrel as I've hunted in the mountains with a 26" 300 win for years but I'd like to keep it halfway light. Any advantage other than speed for longer?

I shoot 29"-16" I shoot them all the same honestly. Never had an ai so I was just curious if they really shine in a 22"-26" which I'm sure they do ballistics wise
