I got 2940 FPS with the 195 Gr bergers. 62 Gr of RL26.
Did you get an idea of the BC's for the 177s? Is your altitude around 5000 ft elevation? TIA.I could only get the 177s up to around 3020 FPS for some reason but I was using RL26. I am using RL23 with the 169 Gr. That might be the difference.
The 169gr and the 177 Gr worked out to be a G7 BC of .237 for me. I am getting better velocity and better groups with the 169 Gr at distance than I was with the 177s. I am at around 4200 ft for elevation.Did you get an idea of the BC's for the 177s? Is your altitude around 5000 ft elevation? TIA.
I'm pushing the 169 HH at 3300FPS out of a 28 nosler and verified the BC at .25 G7 out of my rifle. Also below advertised. But super accurate and shoot great at distance. Also killed a coyote at 500 yards and stoned him with good expansion
Supposed to be are the key words thereyeah 10-4. Performance looks great but I was a litte suprised by the lower velocity. Not that 3100 is slow but Everything I've seen shows these Hammers getting 200fps faster than typical Jacketed bullets and the 7max is supposed to be gettin close to 3k with 195's. I do know the Prood barrels seem a little slow compared to some of the others tho as well

Yes Sir I have no doubt, and you are absolutely correct, It depends on the individual, IMO I don't think most folks push that hardQuite a few of folks who actually do though. Not a far far fetched claim
From what I've seen. Proofs appear to be slower than some of the others and obviously it's going to matter what powder you're using. your barrel length, DA and how hard you want to work your brass.
Thats awesome, congrats and looking forward to the write upMy wife killed a blue wildebeest w a 169 Hammer hunter in South Africa last week from my 28 nosler at 471 yards. PH was very impressed. Big hole in rib cage was entry side.
She also killed a zebra at 249 and an impala at 281 w similar results. I killed a few animals w the 214 hammer hunter and Berger 215. I'll write up a more detailed terminal report when I get back from a business trip later this week.
