Ya know, for a supposedly dead cartridge it seems like every one of us loads for it.... This is a fairly knowledgeable bunch though..... Remember guys, esp newbies if you want to try and play .41Mag with a 10 you will need a fully supported barrel and you will have to play with heavy springs. In a 1911 it helps to have a 6" heavy slide, 22-24# recoil spring and a stronger mainspring also to lower slide velocity. There are also some other little tricks that ****** timing. I will not print the load but my 6" 1911 is dangerously close to a .41. This is also getting up there with the very limit of what any sane person should attempt with a 1911, and they better understand what they are doing. fun though...
Without a properly modified and tuned pistol do not ever exceed a book load. 10MM, 38Super, and .45 I would wager are the most Hot Rodded pistol cartridges there are. Doing so without knowing exactly what you are doing is a great way to get a face full of slide or other parts. even if you know what you are doing I doubt is it is really safe since you are exceeding the design limits of the platform.
