Is there anyone playing with this yet? And if so what are you finding that is working best for you. I am not seeing a lot of data out in the wild yet. I have a savage 116 with 26 in barrel.
Thanks
I am looking for a good do it all bullet for elk and deer out of a 6.5x284. This wont be real long most of the shots with this rifle will be out to 550 or less. I do reload. I have had good luck with Bergers in my 300 WM. But that is a different animal.
Thanks
Ok team, i’ve been doing some load development. I conducted an OCW test and landed with 71gr H4831sc behind a 200gr Berger hybrid. Today I tested the loads stability. I shot x2 70.5gr, x4 71, x2 71.5gr (top 3 targets in the picture).

Wondering if anyone has used Berger 105's or 115's for deer hunting if so what were your results, what was the distances and how do you feel they performed? Mine best friend and I are currently building two 6mm SLR we plan using for deer, coyote, and target. The barrels are bartlien 3b...
So I followed the instructions from Berger (also found on this forum) and performed the seating depth test. I didn't do the 6 rounds of each like they mentioned but only done 3 rounds of each. The results were shocking to say the least but I think I found my best COAL.

So I purchased some Berger 77 grain OTM bullets to load in my AR. I also picked up their loading manual. I used Vhit N140, RIMSHOT TAC, and H4895. I loaded everything to the specifications in the manual. When I chronographed each load with my magneto speed I noticed that I was getting 2-300...
