Yes sir it was South Texas with my 25-06.Looks like he's in Texas judging by the type of blind and the brush surrounding the stand.
DRT for certain... I'm betting it was not a 223 but I might have to eat some crow on that one.
I sold the rifle here on this site but I think I remember about 3200fps.I know that Texas is suffering from the exploding and barely controllable hog populations but it must make for some really fun hunting opportunities. Enjoy it... Hey... How fast is that 90gr pill traveling from the muzzle?
Yes it was aiming fluid, it gets really warm in South Texas. Is that an aftermarket barrel?
I notice a can of Aiming Fluid on the shelf off your left shoulder. Or is that an ash tray? We may never know.
Fan-freaking-tastic. Congratulations. Excellent job. That one pig has some impressive tusks.I was hunting with my trusty Savage 116 SS in 25-06. I love hunting South Texas for feral hogs. My buddy was filming and said I don't want to be tracking a hog thru this pear and mesquite. No problem, shot was about 90 yards and the 90 grain thru the brain proved to be more than he could tolerate. I killed another one from back in the brush about 20 minutes later. Placed the second shot right under the ear. Bang flop as well. Lots of fun and a great way to stay sharp in the summer. View attachment 640253View attachment 640254
