Why shoot a sissy rifle?

I always used to think of the 22LR as a sissy rifle. Till I started shooting ground squirrels - I now have a new found love for the 22LR. The 22LR with a 38gr hollowpoint makes a pretty nice impact on the little varmints...
Maybe there's hope for the 6.5 Creedmoor?
For ground squirrels, only if you choose the right bullets. I've never hunted them, so I don't have any suggestions, do hear they can be quite dangerous when wounded though.

Need to carry a pistol for backup.

Yep, you are both correct and that's why I never enter the squirrel grounds without my trusty 6.5 Creedmore pistol on my side.

That's right, I birddog 68 shoot a sissy rifle. Not just any sissy rifle but a 6.5 creedmoor, the queen of sissies.
Some are afraid to mention that they shoot a skinny jeans man bun latte drinking rifle for fear that they will be ridiculed by their former friends. Not I.
I was looking for a rifle that would basically be a range rifle and was a little easier on my torn rotator cuff but wanted a bit more power than my 223 Remington. I wanted readily available brass and bullets and something that I wouldn't have to buy any powder that wasn't on my shelf already. The 6.5 CM checked all the boxes.
I ended up buying a Browning Xbolt western hunter last spring with a 24" barrel and yea it's even got a brake on it!
It's actually been boring working up loads for since it's shot everything good that I have tried so far.
I'm shooting 140 ELDM and 140 ballistic tip and have used IMR 4350, Ramshot hunter,W760 and staball 6.5 and it doesn't care what I fill the case with. It just shoots!
I'd like to hear what brought others to buy such a sissy rifle ?
Don't worry your replies will be confidential. 🤣
There are plenty of us secret Creedmoor shooters! They are fun till your friends catch you with one!

Nice. Squirrel hunting with Creed and mini-Creed. Hardly seems fair. Poor squirrel probably pass out at the sight of that tamer of beasts.
