GLFA 300 win mag

So it's on the heavier side of things. But still uses a gas system. I wonder how much of a difference the lighter spring will cause. I can't stop wondering if it's wise to lighten the spring. The 300 wm is no slouch for pressure. I guess I'm just saying be careful.
Keep same spring and go lighter on the buffer. Maybe 1/2pz st 1st than 1oz. I gave a 9.5oz buffer in a 6.5prc ar, but will need toto drop 3+ ozs.

The buffer from the factory is a solid piece with no room for adding weights so I'll shop around for a replacement that allows for weights and report back when I have more data.
looking at it on a larger screen i can see how it's made better. i can send you some rifle buffers and extra weights for adjusting if you want?

Outstanding, that would be great, thanks much!
measure the spring, cause the buffer doesn't look like a regular rifle buffer.

must be a long action buffer compared to a short action ar. it's probably the difference in length from where the spring rests on the ar10 and oal of the la buffer glfa has? you can measure the oal of the buffer you have as an ar15 a5 buffer might work. i'll need info from you 1st before checking against what i have? also measure the bcg length with the bolt at its shortest (pushed into the carrier). this way i'll have all (or should have) all the info needed.
