My seven decades on the planet have taught me many things. Two of the most important things , IMO, to achieve is 1. The ability to know what to pay attention to and what to filter out and 2. To arrive at a point at which one is secure enough in one's own skin to be able to make fun of one's own self and one's personal foibles.Yes it's been entertaining.
Everyone needs a little laughter in life.

He just ELD-X'd it...30-06 and 7mmRem Mag. The 7mag almost made it. It's the one with the tiny hole. I shudder to think what the 7 PRC would have done! The turret would likely be gone. Unless you had a "clicker" in the chamber.

I hunted almost exclusively this year with the 6.5 Manbun and Crossbow. I'm thinking that to regain my manhood, I am going to have to hunt next season with my old 338 Win Mag. It meets my rule of Extreme Overkill for Whitetail. "Always use 5 times what you think you need, just in case the critter is 3 times as tough as you think."

Tagging back in. Creedmoor has simply been too large to fit the cz527 action that I have grown to like as a light walk around carry rifle. 6.5 Grendel has been as large as I have tried in that little Mauser action, Though I have come to believe the 6mm Arc is a perfect fit in this application. YMMV

As a archery hunter on the other hand I do subscribe to using an adult arrow (arrow near or above 650 grains total arrow weight) I like to tip the adult arrow with a 200 grain long single bevel 2 blade broad head. My arrow speed may not exceed 230 FPS, yet it gets the job done with little fuss.
