factory 7mm prc rifle

I built a custom bolt rifle this past year using a terminus, Zeus action and Hells Canyon Armory heavy contour carbon barrel. It has an AG Composites adjustable hunter stock, trigger tech diamond pro trigger, and Hawkins precision hunter bottom metal and flush mount magazine. Topped it off with an Athlon Eres Etr. I reload for this rifle and shoots lights out. I have had experience with a Springfield armory waypoint 2020 in 7 PRC that belongs to one of my buddies. I was shocked that with factory Hornady ELDX ammo it shot just under 1/2 MOA out of the box. Hard to beat for around $2500.00. Love my custom but if you are on a budget the Waypoint is a great option. Pic of my rig and first kill with it.

Savage ultralite 7mm prc. Mine shoots bug holes @100 3/16" shot 3"groups @750yds with factory federal premium 175gr.eldx @3000-3010 muzzle velocity and they are easy to swap barrels if needed. I have custom rifles and a few Savage rifles and honestly as far as accuracy the only difference is the price.

Browning Xbolt has done me well and like others have said under 1 MOA performance easily. Just got my cow elk with one on Monday.

Your got that right, we have four, 6.5 C, 6.5PRC, 22-250 that shoots way under 1" groups at 300 yds. they are very good, heard some have issues with the bolt handle breaking off the bolt, but we never have, Reload and most are set 40 tho off the lands. All are B-14 type with adjustable stock cheek piece.
That's some doggone good shooting

I should say I'm left handed so that trims it down considerably for me, I have three of the Bergaras and so far it's all been good. One I'm still working up the load for, but the other two are lights out accurate. The 7PRC seems to be a great cartridge, the B14 series are good looking, seem to be well built rifles. The Sierra Wilderness I just bought in the above cartridge came from the factory with a 2 pound trigger, no creep, breaks clean, 22" barrel, threaded for my can. No complaints here. $900

Has anyone else seen this kind of velocity from factory ammo with 7 PCR? I'm getting 2840 with 180 grain

I would also recommend a Savage with a Carbon proof barrel.
My sons 6.5 PRC 110 Desert Tactical with the factory carbon proof barrel on it is pretty consistent. We ran 12 shots into about a .57 MOA group at 134 yards for initial break in.
Maybe our groups are too small? ;) 🤣 We should shoot it some more to see what it really does.

A week ago I would have said Seekins PH2. My dad picked one up this summer and I've gotten to handle, shoot, and reload for it. It's imo the most ideal factory rifle. So many of the little things that they did to make it like a custom gun. I've been looking at another build but honestly by the time I buy an action and stock, I could have bought a PH2. Well that was last week. Since then I've been made aware of their new PH3. Done deal. As some others have mentioned check out some of the videos out there. Can't think of another factory option out there that even comes close, especially at the price. It's not a budget gun by any means but what a great value it is.
