Nomad Ti vs LTi for elk rifle

I'm leaning towards the Ti XC for a shorter length and less weight on an 18" 7PRC.

Check out this if you want to see how they compare but both look awesome. It would come down to what target weight and length you will be happy with.

I don't know for sure but I would check to make sure that suppressor can handle a magnum 18" barrel, some list 20" as the shortest. I would call a double check for piece of mind.

My email to Dead Air….

"
What are the barrel restrictions for a magnum cartridge with the Nomad Ti XC (direct thread)? I am considering it for an 18" 7mm PRC.

Thank you"

Response:

"As long as you're above 12.5 in barrel you're good to go!"

I have Dead Air Nomad, Nomad L, and DD Enticer STI. All are great, I wouldnt hesitate to buy any of them again, although the DD is the way I will go due to price. As far as sound suppression between the short and long Nomad, you may not notice it until you put it on an overbore magnum. I noticed this when I ran them on my 6.5-300 Wby, big difference.

Resurrecting the thread as I'm getting pretty close to ordering but I'm still undecided…

I read the pretty concerning threads about DA failures and CS. But I also realize this is the internet and some people will be the loudest when things don't work.

I've looked into TBAC Ultra 7 and Magnus S but they are pretty expensive and might not have the best suppression compared to others. The DD STi and LTi seem like good options but also seem tough to find in stock. I do like the Scythe Ti but also read that it might not be best for magnum calibers. Any thoughts? This is all very overwhelming!

To the original post. For hunting I'd go short as I can get with good suppression (I.e. Ti or Sti vs LTi). It's one shot, nice not to have to wear ear pro but you will not notice the difference in a hunting scenario. Range day a different story.

@palmtree191 id be patient and buy a DD STi. I've seen them pop up, they aren't that uncommon. I paid $650 for mine a while back and it's one of my favorite cans. About to get another.

I have the scythe TI and I run it on my magnum's. Have zero problems or issues. It's surprisingly quiet. I didn't expect it to be as good as other bigger longer cans but they did a great job with it. Even shooting a lot on a 30 SM ultralight rifle.

DD STi looks very similar to a Rex Silentium MG7 suppressor . I have a handful of Rex Silentium cans and know several others that own them as well. A few hundred bucks less than the DD STI as well. Sane No BS warrenty. Great customer service. Definitely a great value suppressor
