I have a bergara ridgeback 6.5prcwith area 419 base.
I'm leaning towards one piece rings . To keep the scope as straight as possible. Or does it matter? This will be a range gun strictly.
Thanks

Straight and flat to what tolerances? Nothing it truly straight and nothing is truly flat, but at some point the deviations are too small to matter to the application.

Get some Burris Signature rings and you won't need a 20moa rail later.🙂

And .... the scope will be perfectly straight regardless of the receiver tolerances, the scope tube won't get bent and the rings will not pinch or mar the finish of the tube.

Burris Signature rings have been underrated for too long. I have a few sets on magnum rifles and they hold just as well as high dollar rings.

Just my 2 cents

For some folks, $150 is high dollar rings! Wasn't that long ago I was in that camp too:)
