Frustrated finding primers

I have never been frustrated finding primers, but I have sure been frustrated not finding them. LOL. Well we can't quit our jobs and sit at home waiting for a message. I have been looking for large rifle primers now for four years. They are always gone before I get around to responding also. I did buy some .308 Winchester brass from Peterson because I have several thousand small rifle primers. Hang in there.

Just venting. Twice, I got email messages from Midway informing me that they had Federal Gold Medal large rifle primers available. Both times, I was at work when I received the email. By the time I get home and go to purchase them, they are sold out already. This time, it was only a half day. What are you supposed to do?
There are at least a couple of times I had to place my order at work via my cell phone.

Not sure where you are located in Pa but the last two somewhat local shops I have been to have had either LRMag or both LR and LRM primers.
I'm pretty well stocked so didn't purchase any.
I'm in Lawrence county and could possibly pick up a brick and meet up or I can give you the store names. PM if you are within driving distance.

Yea, I think I'm going to have to set up my online account with my cell phone. Another hurdle I got to get over at work is that they censor what sort of websites we may visit. Even if it is on our personal cell phone. I'm sure that you can guess that we can not visit anything related to firearms. There is a work-a-around though by logging off of the company's wi-fi and connecting via cellular service which in my area is slow. I usually only have one bar at work.

I'm not sure how to say this, but things moved away from waiting for notifications via email back before the previous elections and by the time of Covid it took the kind of notification that was very fast in order to score primers.

To make it simple, just use one of those two web sites and go with the flow. I too didn't like the idea, but I got over it. You can shop at home without the issues of doing this at work.

I'll clip in an example of large pistol in stock as I write this....
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I was getting very worried about running out of 215's and was switching some to 250's but recently a sponsor on here posted them for Black Friday and I bought more than I'll ever use I hope. Sick of chasing stuff I need.

Just wish I wouldn't have gave away over 20 lbs of my rl26 to others in need. Now I'm down to 8lbs of that. Ugh

I would only give away so much. Make sure you keep behind a good supply to fill your own needs.

3 years ago I opened a free account at shootingbot.com. Soon after they announced a linkup with the Telegram phone message app which searches the internet for trusted vendors (not just Midway) which is the fastest way to receive in-stock notifications. Way faster than email and a bit quicker than plain text messages. I too used to sign up for notifications at Midway and in every case I had already bought and received what I needed from another vendor when Midway sent me notifications. OBTW at a better price too.
Just another tool in the toolbox, give it a try.

Pro tip: Go to the potty and get those primers ordered!
