Should I swap my Zeiss Conquest for a Maven rifle scope?

Hi all, looking for opinions. I currently have a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm that I am considering swapping for a Maven Crs.2 4-16x44mm. These are both one inch scopes. The Maven survived most of the rockslide drop tests pretty well. From what I understand about the Conquest is that the body was made by Meopta, the glass is made in Germany or Austria and assembled in USA. Reason, a little more magnification. Thoughts, experiences? Thank you

I'd think you've been using the Zeiss for years as it hasn't been made in years. If it's served you well why get rid of it?

Sounds to me like you have an excuse to build a second rifle for the Maven scope

Sounds like top line everything about it.

I agree, build a second rifle for the Maven.

Or sell the Zeiss to me.

Per the maven rep I know, the C series is a "b grade" glass and is made in china. Not to say it's bad, I'd just stick with Zeiss in this case.

Now, the mainline maven stuff is excellent for the price point

That's not the Maven model used in the RS tests. That was the model RS1.2 2.5-15x44.

As I recall it is the only Maven model that has passed.

And the C series rifle scopes are their budget line.

Buy them both bed them to the rifle drop multiple times and see which one hold zero then send the other one back to get repaired then sell it once it comes back good as new.

@bsnyder - 'Normal' people don't drop their rifles/scopes for fun.

My method has worked well the last two years with 2 ONE shot kills.

Nobody has ever accused me of being normal. When you hunt big animals you need to know your stuff is going to work if you fall out of the tree stand, side by side or if your hiking and fall in the deadfall/rocks, to many variables happen in the field to not take the time to drop it and see what happens. It's only money and that's why companies have warranties right?

Zeiss stays!

Nobody falls on purpose, whether it's slippery rocks crossing creeks, rocks or logs hidden under leaves, frozen slopes, etc. I'm certainly not going to drop it on purpose to see if it holds zero. I like the Zeiss, I think it's brighter and clearer than my Leupolds. Thank you for the replies.
