2024 Meat Pole

Thanks for the kind words Brian. It was fun. Hiked/hunted/learned some new canyons. I hope you can come back and fill your cow elk tag and get another leftover doe tag before sell out. The Elk are down now . I still have to try to fill my cow tag when back from Montana. I'm very happy you got a nice muley and filled you doe tags. If you can't make it back up I hope you can next year !
P.S.
You should try to post the first elk video. I can't post videos 🙄
The one where my Tikka... safety wouldn't come off because of bolt lifted. 😡 6x6 bull at 85 yds. Last day of season. Two days later could of shot herd bull at 100 yds.. Called up up to us. 😉
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving !

Doesn't seem to allow for video uploads. That Tikka situation was a bummer. Growing up in MN, we called that buck/bull fever and then blamed our guns. 🤣🤣🤣😜. It was weird how yours would do that but neither of mine nor your other one would. Glad it loosened up with a little work. I take off in the morning for SD to chase roosters, then hopefully I'll have some time to get over there. If not, we'll have next year. Here's some wildlife pics for all to see…

I wasnt going to post but...
The buck I shot at 30 yds. Inside trees and brush. Saw it duck down and run on trail it was walking. Searched trail and around for couple hundred yards. No blood no deer. Two days later while pheasant hunting about 30 yards from where I shot at buck I saw a magpie sitting on top of a mound of snow. Something in front of it looked like an antler sticking our of snow. It was only about 30 yards straight out from where I shot in the tall grass... it must of ran about 5 yds and turned left from me and died. The bear and coyotes had a good feast. I tagged it. That doe was the biggest doe I've ever seen. Bigger than the buck.

I forgot to mention. Skeleton buck was Tikka... 300 WM. w/182 HHT. Doe was C.A. 6.5 PRC w/156 Berger.
Not mentioning what rifle/caliber they used. 🤔
