Classified, What does ( I'll Take It Mean )

I believe the LRH site needs to set some rule's for , I'll Take It". It would prevent all this confusion & disagreements.

Thanks, but I already have enough people trying to tell me what to do. I dont listen to them either. If a guy can't figure out how to buy or sell something on a forum like this without detailed rules, then stick to face to face.

If the sellers ad did not state "electric payment only" or "electric payment preferred", then your "I'll take it" trumps all other offers. The way it's been for decades, and should continue, unless the seller states otherwise in his ad.

Seller is not trustworthy, and I would not feel bad about giving him bad feedback.

You guys that say get with the times, electronic is the only way...do you remember what a handshake means? Have you ever heard the saying, "a man is only as good as his word"?

I prefer USPS Money Order, or Cashier's Check when I sell on classifieds. If I get screwed using one of those 2, then...my bad. I also state in my ads, that first "I'll take it" responding to the ad, gets first crack at it.

So he says I'll take it, and his payment method is wampum, bones, dried fish. Nothing in your ad says those aren't acceptable.

Get real, I'll take it is an expression of interest not a transfer of title. You still have to agree on the balance of all the other terms of the sale. If you really think most of us are going to try and cover off all the permutations I have seen in the thousands of deals some of us have done, including delivering a package to an air base so it could be dropped by Hercules airplane to the purchaser, then you are dreaming in technicolor.

To me as a buyer. I'll take it states that you agree to the price. And the only other issue at hand is the type of payment unless otherwise stated. That is at least how I understood this. Now if we are talking make an offer. That is another animal. lol

I've noticed that you are making plenty of posts on this thread about the classifieds here like you have made a hundred transactions.
Interestingly enough you have ZERO trader feedback from any transaction on the classifieds here but are telling us how we should to do everything pertaining the classifieds?

LOL! It's one of the reasons I referenced @Deputy819 on my #9 post. He has plenty of positive trader history and understands what it takes to have a successful transaction.

So if a brand new member says I'll take it and they have negative feedback you would to sell to them over an established member with great feedback if they both messaged you within minutes of each other?

Well, this isn't the only gun related forum I participate in and since I am in Canada, I sell on the Canadian sites. I have over 180 trader ratings between Alberta Outdoors and Canadian Gunutz alone, and the basic buy/sell protocols are the same on them as on here. Gun Board, Kijiji, E-Bay and Facebook are entirely different animals and have protocols unique to them. You on the other hand have 71 trader ratings, so yes, I am qualified to have an opinion, even if you don't think so.

Ok. Maybe you should have mentioned that you had a lot of trader history on other sites. Nobody knows this unless you state it!
I apologize if I offended you.

Just cause a guy says " I'll take it" doesn't mean I'm gonna sell to him.....I'll only deal with known members with positive feed back OR I'm gonna get payment up front and wait till I'm comfortable knowing the $ is cleared and actually mine and can't be taken back. But I'm only going to take payment in forms I trust-- I'm not going to take something like bit coin -- technically it's "same as cash" to some people but not me

I don't sell much here, but I do buy--- I never post "ill take it" and assume it's mine--- someone could have sent a pm to the seller and made a deal before you, the seller may have sold it locally, the seller may not like your feed back , or the seller may not like your "offer" of payment or shipping terms.

Both parties must come to an agreement about the price, payment terms, and shipping in my mind. The seller is In control of the terms since he's the one wirh the item that the buyer wants.
