usually we have the family over for Thanksgiving and then on Friday and Saturday we either hunt deer or ducks (depending).

Favorite Holiday Tradition!
Family, Food well deserved time off and spending time in the field with the dogs. GSP's man these dogs are special, and a true joy for anyone who has had the pleasure following them.

Used to be hunting in the morning then Thanksgiving lunch and back to hunting while trying not to fall asleep and fall out of the deer stand
A little different here as we're privileged to get to serve others at Thanksgiving. Photos are from last year. Looking to provide meals for +2500 folks that can't afford a Thanksgiving meal, take-outs to those that can't fix for themselves anymore, those with no where to go for Thanksgiving and/or anyone hungry. Thanks to all the people who sacrifice their days to help prepare this meal and local suppliers that provide/donate food! May God receive all the glory and we have so much to be thankful for!

In my household, Thanksgiving and Mother's Day are celebrated every day, and Father's Day is celebrated every other day. I am blessed to have many things to be thankful for and celebrate in one day.
My family and I volunteer all over our community throughout the year. On Thanksgiving, we volunteered at the Mission and Meals-On-Wheels for 10+ years before my squadron got involved. However, when it became political, I stopped.

Well, I lost my parents a few years back. All my family is back east. I usually go to the Christmas stroll. It's downtown for about 8 blocks, lots of vendors there too. This thanksgiving I've been invited to an old friends house for dinner. I love the holidays but losing my parents makes it tough. I'm alone with no woman in my life but I make the best of it. God bless America!!!
My wife goes to Fl to have Thanksgiving with her mom every year, leaving me on my own. I have spent those Thanksgiving with my 2nd family for years. We hunt the morning, come in for a big ole Thanksgiving dinner and head back out for the evening hunt..struggling to stay awake and alert! I met Greg and Gina over 35 years ago and cherish the time spent with them and their family.
Whitetail hunting with the wife, boys, and brother-in-laws. No parents/grandparents left so usually low key supper.

Usually, I fry turkeys for the neighbors (about 6 total), but this year we drove 900 miles to our daughters house and are having Thanksgiving there.

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition has gotten lost over the years. My grandpa, uncles and cousins would gather at relatives farms and hunt small game until lunch time. There were 26 cousins and 16 aunts and uncles. There was a huge meal and gathering. Of course after lunch a few of us that could still walk went out again.
I left for the military at 17 years old and never moved back home, so that tradition died out. Now it is just getting together with family and having a great meal and getting to visit.

God has blessed me with the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ and I celebrate that everyday, but on this special day I get to share that with family and friends and have for all of my 60+ years.

Lots of food & family! Growing up, hunting was always a tradition on Thanksgiving morning. Here in Texas, it's traditionally around this time that the rut peaks. Grandpa and Dad both got a B&C scored deer in South Texas on Thanksgiving morning when I was a kid. I'll never forget that day. Grandpa is gone now, and dad says he's too old to hunt (but he'll still show up for the vittles!) so my buddy from Montana is down this year and we will be in the blinds early in the morning and maybe in the evening if we are still awake! There's a big 8 hanging around that I'd like him to get before he goes home. Circumstances didn't allow me to make my Montana pilgrimage this year for Mulies but we are going to have a great holiday anyway! 4 Generations getting together for food and fellowship. Can't wait! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Be safe.

Usually the nice Thanksgiving meal turned into a verbal political brawl & I loved it! My immigrant French relatives would have made DJT proud!
