I have a Game Hunter edge but am curious if there are any advantages to the Altitude? I've never owned the Altitude but see a ton of guys building with them and nothing negative said that I'm aware of.
Is one better than the other?
If you've had both, what's your experience been?

I don't have the Game Hunter, but do have the Altitude. The Monte Carlo design on the GH is attractive to look at, but to each their own. 3 ounces more weight is not a big deal on a stock. Both are light weight. Neither are great for shooting prone. I have no complaints with the Altitude for my style of hunting. It fits me well which is the most important part when choosing a stock IMO.

Why do you think they're not great for shooting prone?

I have both stocks so here is my take.

The Game Hunter is a little heavier by a couple of oz but feels more solid. The grip texture is more pronounced but rounded whereas the Altitude is more like skateboard grip tape but not uncomfortable. The GH's forearm is squared off and the Altitude is rounded. I can't tell much difference between the grips. The comb on the GH has a little negative angle to it. The factory placement of the sling studs on the Altitude take up some grip area but I'm going to install another stud and smaller pic rail. Overall, I like both stocks functionally although I like the look of the monte carlo comb on the GH. I bought the Altitude for my son as he shoots left-handed so that is something to consider.
Sorry for the shadows in the pic.

Just weighed my GH Edge and it comes in at 25.6oz. I actually thought it was a lot heavier than the Altitude, but it would appear to be a wash on weight. I also like the negative comb it comes with. For the price difference I guess the Altitude might be the better option, but I've already got the FH.
Very interesting to hear your perspective having one of each 👌
