200gr puppy dog at 1100 or buffalo bore style at 1200+? Some are loaded light and some heavy. Or is it negligible?

I don't think it matters. Whether it's mass or speed it force on the spring. The faster you get more weight going though, the more exasperated the effect. So 200 at 1100 might be a challenge, 200 hot at 1200+ more so. Directionally the same.

Yeah I've seen several different brands all differing velocities. I watched a video a guy testing different 10mm ammo and he found the underwood severely low in velocity with his chrono. The ones that were true to speed were buffalo bore and I think doubletap. Grizzly was close to the advertising vel

Don't have any of those yet but just have some home defense fur mine. Hope to someday soon get either loads made up or some heavy hitters from buffalo bore to try out.

Have you function tested it? 24 lbs is really heavy.

I ran 170 JHP in it with the 22lb and it did okay. It seemed just a little sluggish like it was out of sinc but still cycled

Zero need for a pistol. But if you must your everyday 9mm will work fine.

9mm would be better than not having it at all. But personally I'd go with something a little larger more mass and about twice the powder charge.
