Suppressor Laws

But it's a big error to think that gun controllers are misguided by factual error. These people may use facts when it suits them, but they are not driven by fact. They are driven by a desire to disarm you, to rescind your rights. In achieving those goals, to them the end justifies the means. Lying and bending fact are to be expected from them. That's the kind of war we're in. That's the kind of enemy we face..
This ^^^^ is SO important for all Patriots to understand.

Incorrect on both accounts. There's no need to go all macho and divisive on the matter of firearms, one way or many we're all in the same boat.

The possession of a firearm silencer in New Jersey is a crime of the fourth degree, and punishable by up to 18 months in prison.

It's not my choice to live in NJ.

I don't think I was being either divisive or macho and if you took it that way my apologies.
My first statement was not specific to NJ residents, and I probably should have worded it differently. As for the second, it could just be ignorance on my part but other than military personnel, I never heard of anyone being required to live in any specific locality unless they were incarcerated or on parole.

I saw Don Jr. at Dallas Safari Club convention and expo. Don Jr. and Eric are both hunters. And Eric is into some competitive shooting - not sure about Jr..
Don't remember where, but I just saw yesterday or day before a previous interview with Trump and suppressors were brought up - he stated he didn't like them. So, there's that...

I remember when he said about banning suppressors, it also bothered me when he banned bumpstocks.
Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy he won, the alternative was way way worse. But, TBH, I would be lying if I said I trusted him completely when it comes to any firearms legislation or EO pertaining to them.
Or trusted him period. He may have been the lesser of the two evils this time, but let's not pretend there's a lick of good in that man.

All true guys. Turn around times now with the electronic kiosk and gun stores is a week and online checks guys are getting turnaround time so 48 to 72 hours it's getting really good now. But I agree the turnaround time should be no better or worse than the time it takes you to purchase a firearm and have your background check done in the system like any other time. The people against these who think they are all movie quiet regardless of caliber have never actually been to a range and fired them they are not movie quiet even the ones I used the best ones made the ones that aren't even fielded to the civilian population or not movie quiet they are significantly more quiet than one sold the civilian sector but not movie quiet. They are however the best hearing conservation you can get for firearms enthusiasts hunters and it's a great second shot opportunity for hunters given certain circumstances. They are fantastic and helping mitigate recoil on a lot of calibers and just make firearms more pleasant to shoot. To each their own I think there's a place for them I don't use them for everything but sometimes they're great to have.
The importance of hearing conservation cannot be highlighted enough! I never hunt unsuppressed or with anyone not using a suppressor.
Additionally, the response from animals after the first shot is completely different when hunting suppressed and creates unique opportunities and amazing experiences.

Just because it seems fitting and I like showing this little rifle off. I've taken to hunting with a Howa Mini 223 running 77gr TMK's at 2700fps, topped with a SiCo Omega. Whole gun, suppressed, weighs 7#6oz. It's a dream to pack and shoot, and not having to futz with ear plugs before a shot is a game changer.

Please, be reasonable and think a bit more. Yer not married and/or have 3 generations of family living in a blue state?

I am married and did grow up in a blue state. I moved because my, and my direct families, personal freedoms were more important to me than being close to where my parents and siblings are, same for my wife. Was she happy about it? No. Did she understand? Yes. Is she happier now? Absolutely.
I can travel back to see them when I want. They can travel to visit me. Good enough for me.

I get that it is hard, but you have to be honest with yourself. If you are prioritizing being around family more than your 2A rights, then you can't get all victim-y when discussions like this come up.

Happy for you, for sure. I wish your experience was that easy for some of us.
