Great pic. One happy looking moose!

I was camped in the Grand Tetons during the moose rut, early October. Doggone moose were so easy to find. Heck a young bull strolled right through my campsite while I was sitting there! I got a few more photos of moose as well.

Wyoming this fall! I've been lucky to tag along with 2 of my buddies who drew a once in a lifetime tag. I have lots of videos but it won't let me attach them. These are just a couple of the better pictures I have.

Looks like a big boy! Ya, moose tags are hard to come by. I have only hunted them with my camera. Sure would like to draw the tag someday.

No wonder he looks so happy. He's on save ground and looking for love!

Yup. He found it too. A "lovely" lady moose. He pushed a couple of other bulls around pretty hard, but I didn't manage to photograph that. Maybe I'll get back there next fall, 2025... I'd sure like to do so! Photographed this lady moose a year later, same campsite.

Posted that pic this morning before embarking on a 512 mile trip in the truck across south central for about 13 hrs today. Didn't see much in the morning after it got light out but the evening return trip saw a pair of small bulls, 2 lone cows, six cow calf pairs and one cow with twins. We've had back to back record setting snows, it's probably been 19' or 20' since we saw a set of twins make the full winter. Be curios to see what this one does, it's starting a little early and white.

I'll try and dig through the wife's pics, our old house was on the edge of a greenbelt and we had so many in the driveway we learned to look both ways before going out the garage (almost got stomped by a cow calf pair bedded down outside the garage door). She used to have piles of pics, two or three years ago one walked in to the hospital while her and her co worker were on lunch. Pretty funny pics of a moose in a hospital.... it's probably online as it made the news.

Didn't have many in the village as moose in town become stew pretty quick, but boy are they all over town on the road system.

Lov the pixs, got Lucky once and tracked one for a bite, it almost never bottomed out in 3 ft plus of snow going down the valley I picked up the pace and got lucky boke into a little island of trees and grass, there he was just standing and watching his back trail, about 65/75 yards, snapped up the 270 Mauser and scoped him . A shooter for sure , but I was Elk hunting and had no Moose tag . Thks for posting every one 🙌👍😉

Hmmm…I never seem to take pictures of them. Colorado is covered in them now. I've seen them on a dairy 10 miles out in the plains from the mountains. We had cows and calves in the middle of 30 Mile Campground surrounded by RVs and lookers. Often I see them browsing just off the road in the mountains. We will see how long that lasts with all the wolves they are bringing in.
In my early 70s I finally drew a muzzleloading tag for a cow. I took nearly 200 yards of cable, tow straps, climbing rope, and winch line so if I got one close enough I could drag it to the road. Saw all kinds of bulls right next to the road, but not one cow…of course. My young buds told me if I got one to call and they would take off from work. Only problem is I would have to drive nearly an hour to get cell service. Needless to say I didn't get my moose. That's the way hunting goes!
