Sherman Wildcat Reloading Data is Here!!!

Hey all. What barrel length and chamber freebore would I need to get a 160cx going 3000fps or more with the 7ss cartridge? Thanks!
Two 7 sheman max's, both 20", both showed about the same max velocity. 175 eld-x maxed out at around 2900ish with N565, that killed brass in 2-3 fireings. Accuracy and useable load around 2800. Add about 75-100 fps for a 160 mono vs the 175 eld-x, so 2875-2900. Add 20-30 fps/inch. Take away some for the ss vs the max. I would say at least a 24" with the ss to get to 3000, if you want your brass to last more than 3 rounds. 26" would be a safer bet.

I cant speak for a mono bullet…but I can for a 162ELD
Just trying different load charges and breaking in the brass

Bought a 26" 7SS off the classifieds. And I will be using H4831SC for most of my loads at moderate speed. I'm not looking to hit the max and stay there. Lots of 162gr eldm as well

I had a Titanium action for it previously, got obvious pressure at 150-175fps less speed.
My sons 6.5 SS is 2975-3000fps with the 156 EH, H1000. I shared your report with him. He's very impressed. We both shot deer this weekend with our Sherman wildcats!

I used the 300 Mega with the 208 LRHT. Don't say it; I'm testing this bullet to see how it's going to perform in various shot situations. 100 yards, 2600fps impact, 3000ft-lbs. I thought it might explode on impact like a standard hybrid, but this bullet is pointed and looks like it started to tumble. It dusted the ground about 25 yards behind the deer. I'll try to upload video.
