7 wsm or 7 saum

I am thinking of building a lighter weight 7 SAUM for hunting out west, a lot of good info here, thanks guys.

Bob Beck just built me a Badrock rifle in 7 PRC, his load development has a 195 Berger @ 2885 fps on the west coast. Here on the east coast I get 2860 fps, accuracy is excellent!

Rumor has it 7WSM Bertram brass will start being imported by RavensRock. They're supposed to be the new importer for Bertram going forward from what I've heard. I just emailed them about it and will share the response.

What kept them from getting popular and staying that way?
No good brass available? I'm sure Remington probably goofed it somehow.
I was into belted mags back then, never paid it much attention.
The Sherman Short Mag line made me put my blinker on though.
Aside from 7 mag I think Rem has a history of screwups. Like putting the excellent 350 rem mag in a 6lb rifle. 6.5 rem mag went nowhere. 260 rem. I think they only offered the saum in the model 7 in a short action.

..both cartridges are awesome but I'm just sticking with my 6 decade old 7mm rem mag ..there's no reason to worry about finding casings at this stage of my life...I bought a rem 7 stainless synthetic. 300 saum the moment they were introduced and it was and is one of my favorite rifles...
