This is a 375 I picked up at an estate sale years ago I unfortunately just missed the matching 30-06. The original owner had two rifles built for him to go on an African hunt many years ago. Would have been nice to have been able to buy the pair but if I had to be stuck with one I'm glad it was the 375 H&H. Not sure if the exact build year but definitely pre 64

I love those old M70, Mine are all Classic Stainless, pretty much same design, and I think good quality. Alos have one of the S Carolina models.

Here's my Classic Stainless semi custom, re-chambered (myself) to 375 Weatherby, wears a HS Precision stock and is trued and blueprinted. Very slick action.

Cheers.

I had a Classic Stainless M70 375, but I morphed it into 338 Edge in 2011. I had to remove a grizzly from a cabin on Thanksgiving day 2008 with it and that was the only game it claimed. Come 2013 and I had to borrow my neighbor's Sako 375 to stop another griz from visiting my moose parts as I butchered.

Now I'm looking for a current production 375 M70 in walnut and moly; I just feel naked without one. Having Pre-War, Pre-64, post-64 (1987), and two Classics coupled with what I've researched the current M70 Safari Express (post-2015) is the best ever produced. We'll see.
