just headed back from Ontario, east of Fort Francis. Female near, guide estimated at 6 years old. Came into the bait area , 165 grain Nosler Partition 270 Win. , folded up in 10 yards.
all 3 in our party filled .

Bears are something else! I've managed to take two, one near Homer Alaska on a spot and stalk and a fine 300 lb chocolate behind dogs in New Mexico (my granddaughter also took one on the same hunt).
Still trying to call one in. I think that would be the ultimate hunt.
Yours' teeth definitely look like it has been around awhile!

Calling in bruins (intentionally) is a big time rush and about as good as it gets IMO. I've called in a bit over 60 of them, generally just do catch and release with them.

To the OP congrats on a nice bruin, must of been a bait hunt eh?

Looks to me like a nice boar, but you say that it's a female?
