Right on! Congratulations on the rifle. Sounds nice.Everything on that build was supposed to be a year wait from the Brux barrel, the defiance action, and the McMillan stock. Even the Wyatt mag box and bottom metal was a wait. I did end up using sunny hill bottom metal. Ordered everything in October and the rifle was in my hands right after I shattered my collarbone bone 1/14. I ended up with a rifle that weighs just over 7 pounds without optic, base and rings. But the barrel is 26.5 inches and a break for 2 more.
My point is you search until you find what you want. Look and keep looking it's out there
I made a mistake, I have 6 McMillans. Not 4. A rem 700 and a Mod 70. The 700 took a ridiculous amount of fitting to put a PTG mag box/bottom metal.
I'm just discussing the McMillan stocks for others who search this topic. I like McMillan. I'll buy them again no questions. But someone looking for a true drop in with little or no fitting, might want to look at B&C or HS precision. These are ones I have had experience with.
I did snap a B&C in half and they replaced it no questions asked.
YMMV.
