I will be leaving for northern Manitoba September 18 for my moose hunt. Anyone going to Manitoba this year?

No one? Surprising since all the best outfitters in northern Manitoba are completely booked for 2024 and now booking for 2025 and 26.

I went last year. Had an absolute blast. We hunted hard all week, but it was unseasonably warm so the animals weren't moving that much. Got a shot at a good bull on the very last day. A lot of different things went wrong, but the long and short of it is that both myself and my guide let excitement get the better of us and I muffed a shot (actually multiple shots) that I should have been able to make.
The fishing was amazing too. Loved having fresh walleye for lunch every day.
Who are you hunting with? I was with Dogskin Lake Lodge. Looking to go back in 27 or 28, depending on circumstances.

I will be hunting with Lynn Lake Outposts. I have been with them before.
I leave for Lynn Lake on Wednesday. It will be a long drive from Ohio, but better then dealing with the airlines. If the weather forecast holds it will be getting cooler by Sunday when I fly into camp. Last year was warm and not good for hunting so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Hope everyone else headed north has a good hunt.
