Neck sizing 280 AI Peterson brass shot once. Bottom 1/2" of the broke off & the remainder is stuck in my Redding die. Any suggestions?

Get a stuck case remover.
There's nothing to hook to. The rim is broken off & all you can see is the edge of the case.

Doesn't work if you don't have a case head to drill and tap.
There's nothing to pull. I'll send it back to Redding & call Peterson.
They charge a fee
That's what you get for neck sizing lol. Seriously though I have heard of guys using dry ice to freeze the die and it may pop out. They also make a broken case extractor for a separated case stuck in a chamber. That may work. Also you could soak it in pb blaster and try and bend the bottom enough to grab with some needle nose.
Another thing that may work if you can remove the die top and see the brass inside. Sort of a reverse stuck case remover. Run a bolt through the neck out the bottom of case. Put a socket through bolt from bottom then a washer and nut. Tighten the nut and it may come out.

You have 2 options, use an easy out jammed into the interior of the case, or use a regular threading tap screwed into the case, then tap it out from the sizing stem hole. It may take one swift tap, or several, but it works…

Had this problem with 223.
Managed to unscrew expander ball holder & remove decapping rod through top of die
Then select a fine threaded bolt as a slip fit in broken case and cut a split in the length of threaded section & cut bolt off so it's a bit longer than die.
Push in then enter a blade screwdriver to split & with end of bolt on anvil & preferably handle cut off screwdriver belt it in with a hammer.
When certain bolt has been expanded to grip case then shift the lot over a suitable hole & hammer down on screwdriver shaft to drive case out.

If you can access the neck end of the die, and I know the redding ones are comparatively so complicated, drive a fine screwdriver down between the neck and the sizing bush to sort of kink the case neck away from the bush - it should drift out with a brass drift quite easily once you've removed the tool.
You can buy a new bush if you happen to score it.
A lot folks will poo-poo my next suggestion which is to buy the Lee neck sizing die instead, in my opinion does a better job than the redding one and I have both brands for my 22 savage high power.
I've never broken or jammed a case in a Lee one either and I have them in 22 hi-p, 223, 22-250, 30/30 and 308 - just follow the instructions.
The one and only criticism of Lee's product is if using them to crimp cases with lubed cast boolits seated they can gum up with the mule snot but it's nothing that a periodic cleaning won't cure, or adopt powder coating but that's a whole different story.
Just my $0.02 worth.
